Like almost everybody in the world, I have a Twitter account. I use it to find out what's going on in the city I live in, to keep up with friends, and there are a few celebs I follow. One of them is Dave Navarro. He is known for being a guitarist for Jane's Addiction, and was even with the Red Hot Chili Peppers for their "One Hot Minute" album. Most people will probably know him because he was married to Carmen Electra. I've been a fan of him ever since Jane's Addiction so it was an easy decision to follow him on Twitter.
Yesterday he made a post that included a link to a video that made me question my initial decision. I like to think that I have an open mind and can tolerate almost anything I watch on TV or in movies, but clearly I have a cut-off point regarding certain things. The tweet included the words "not safe for work" and since I was at home it wasn't an issue. He has a tendency to post pictures from when he is on tour as well as other silly random things, so I thought this TwitVid would be no different than the previous items. Yeah.... no.
The TwitVid was an actual video that he was in, so unlike other submissions, he wasn't recording it. There were a few people around and there was a girl, wearing next to nothing, lying on a table. I still didn't find anything different about the video until it kept rolling.
I hate needles. I hate it when blood is drawn, and I hate watching it done to other people...so you can imagine the face I made when this "Nurse" ( I use the term loosely because the woman was dressed as a Nurse, but not the professional kind) pokes the poor girl laying down with a needle and proceeds to draw blood as if she is getting some tests done. At this point I became incredibly confused because I failed to see why this scantily clad girl on the table needed to have blood drawn. (I should also add that the room they were in wasn't a doctor office, it wasn't a room in a hospital or a clinic, and to be honest I question how sanitary everything was.)
What happened next honestly scarred me for life, and the phrase "what has been seen, cannot be unseen" has never been so true. The "Nurse" removed the syringe with blood in it, while leaving the needle still intact, and handed it to some random guy. Dude then proceeded to slowly squirt the blood out of the syringe and on to the semi-nude girl . I couldn't believe my eyes. I think what also disturbed me was the fact that she seemed to really enjoy it! The guy started to rip open the thin babydoll she was wearing, and continued to squirt her with the blood. Once the syringe was empty, it was then rubbed all over her like you would with oils or lotions.
Dave, up until this point, was just standing there, watching everything, and then he participated. I can't even begin to tell you how glad I was to see him put on gloves because, honestly, who knows where that girl has been! More blood was drawn and then he was the squirter.
At that point I couldn't watch anymore. I could feel something in my brain slowly start to break and I knew that if I didn't stop, I'd probably need years and years of intensive therapy. Hell, I probably still will. The only thing I could do was close the tab and open up Youtube where I then searched for "What, What" by Samwell, and then followed that up with about 10 videos containing cute kittens.
If there was a way to safely open my skull from home and pour a small amount of bleach to the portion of the brain retaining such horrific images, I would be in the bathroom right now peeling my skin back, but sadly that isn't an option. What is an option is that I doubt I will be clicking on any of his links anymore because I value my sight and my sanity.

I was also a fan of Dave Navarro but yes he has done many questionable things that made me wonder how sane he really is. Thank you for for this story I will now have to search and find this bloody video...lol!
ReplyDeleteGo and look through his Twitter stream and you will find the tweet I am talking about. I thought about linking it in the post, but that would mean I'd have to return to the scene of the crime :x
