We've Made Contact!

So a couple of days ago I posted about our new special "friends" we've found in our house, and today I found something interesting.
Every morning I pick up the trap that's on our kitchen floor, so Moogle doesn't get to it, and put it on the kitchen counter safely. Then I open up the drawer we normally keep our silverware in, because we have a trap in there along with a decent sized piece of foil covered in peanut butter and pellets of doom.

This morning I saw that the box trap in the drawer was moved all the way in to one corner and that the inside looked a bit off. When I looked at it closer, I saw that on the inside (which is an adhesive surface to get the mouse or rat stuck) there was hair. Lots of black hair.

Apparently Mr. or Mrs. Mouse managed to get in to the trap and also out of it. I can't be too sure if they ingested any of the pellets, or if they will return later on to give it another go. Either way, I know we are one step closer to being pest free.
